# Agent panel

An assistant beside the canvas that draws on it. Ask for a diagram, a flowchart or a tidy-up and the
changes appear on the canvas, each one undoable. Claude runs on the person's own Anthropic API key.

## What you can do

- Ask in plain words for a diagram, a flowchart or a tidy-up.
- Select items and press Visualise this to have them drawn as a diagram.
- Pick the model per message: Claude, or Local (Ollama). The choice can change mid-conversation.
- Undo each change the assistant made, separately.
- Continue a conversation, start a new one, or reopen a recent one.
- Use it on project canvases, personal canvases and the daily note.

## How to

1. Open Settings > You > My AI. Under Anthropic API key, paste the key and press Save key. The key is checked
   with Anthropic before it is saved.
2. Optional: set Canvas assistant model under Default model.
3. Open a canvas and press Assistant.
4. Choose a Model, type in Message the assistant, and send.
5. To undo a change, press its undo button in the panel's list of canvas changes.
6. New conversation starts again. Recent runs lists earlier conversations. Close assistant hides the
   panel.

## Limits

- Claude needs the person's own Anthropic API key and is billed to their Anthropic account. No
  organisation key is used, and there is no spend cap.
- The key is stored encrypted and never shown again. Remove key deletes it.
- With Claude, the canvas content goes to Anthropic under that key, including text others wrote on a
  shared project canvas. That text can carry instructions; the assistant acts only with the person's own
  rights, on that one canvas.
- Local (Ollama) is for Siftware staff only, and only where the server has a local model configured.
- The assistant cannot make tasks or docs from notes.
- Undo is refused once something the change touched has been changed since.
- 30 runs an hour per person. Messages up to 4000 characters; a conversation holds up to 200 messages.
- Claude runs on Sonnet 5.5. <!-- verify: Haiku 5.5 is selectable through the settings API but has no control in Settings > You > My AI -->
- Client accounts cannot use it.
