Today and tomorrow
The daily note is a canvas per person per day. It opens with the tasks due that day, overdue ones first, and collects whatever is captured during the day beside them. One place to start the day and to look back on it.
What you can do
- Open today's note from My Stuff > Today.
- See tasks due today in a Due today column. On today's note overdue tasks come first, each card saying how late it is. "Nothing due." shows when there are none.
- Keep the note current: tasks that fall due later join the Due today column when the note is opened again. A task removed from the note is not brought back.
- Move between days with the arrows, the date picker, or the Today and Tomorrow buttons.
- Work on the note as on any canvas: notes, lines, shapes, Make task. See Canvas.
- Find past notes in Docs: filter the list to Daily notes.
How to
- Open My Stuff > Today.
- Previous day and Next day (the arrow buttons) step one day. The date field (Go to day) jumps to any date.
- Today returns to today. Tomorrow opens tomorrow's note.
- An older day that has no note shows empty. Press Start note to create it.
Limits
- Today, later days, and the two days before today are created when opened. An older day is created only by Start note, so browsing back through the calendar writes nothing.
- The day is the note's date in the Europe/London zone. There is no per-person time zone.
- Due today lists open tasks assigned to the note's owner, plus unassigned tasks the owner created.
- The daily note is private to its owner.
